Delete your account and data
How to request deletion of your TheLAB account and your data.
Option 1 — in the app
- Open the app and sign in
- Profile → Settings → Delete account
- Confirm
Your account is deactivated immediately. All personal data is completely removed from our systems within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Please cancel it in the App Store or in Google Play.
Option 2 — by email
Email us at info@customgolflab.de with the subject “Delete account” from your registered email address. We confirm the deletion within 7 business days.
What we delete
- Email address, name, profile details (handicap, home club, gender)
- Swing videos and AI analyses
- Recorded rounds, shots, putts, statistics
- Coaching history and saved drills
- GPS logs from the caddie feature
- Sign-in sessions and device tokens
What we are required to keep
For legal reasons, we keep the following data for a limited time:
- Billing and subscription records — 10 years, as required by German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB / § 147 AO)
- Anonymized telemetry — without any personal reference, to improve the product
Timelines
- Immediately: account deactivated, sign-in no longer possible
- Within 30 days: complete removal from live systems
- Within 90 days: removal from backups
